SUMMER PROJECTS UPDATE
Superintendent Eldridge shared with the school board that summer projects are ready to go once the school year has been completed. Renovations of the Kindergarten and 1st Grade classrooms in Brainard, and the flooring replacements in Dwight will begin the week of Memorial Day.

FACILITY ENHANCEMENT PROJECT UPDATE
Mitch Broekemeier, with Boyd Jones, was present at the meeting to share an update with the school board on the progress that has been made on the east lot, and what the next steps will be as we close out the school year. Barrier fencing on the west side will be upt up the week of Memorial Day, with dirt work starting immediately after.
The official groundbreaking ceremony will take place on Monday, May 18th at 3:00 PM on the west practice field behind the Brainard building.

POLICY REVIEW
The school board reviewed the following policies at the May Board Meeting.
4058 - Confidentiality in Counseling and Guidance 4059 - Behavioral and Mental Health Training
4060 - School Vehicle Use 4061 - Workplace or Non-Workplace Injuries or Illness and Return to Work 4062 - Locker Room Supervision 4063 - Extra Duty and Extended Contract Assignments for Certificated Staff 4064 - Transporting Students in Employee Vehicles
The School Board requested that school administration review Policy 4062, and bring the policy back to the board for their consideration.

DIRECT CONTRACT ITEMS FOR THE PROJECT
Mitch Broekemeier of Boyd Jones, shared with the school board to move forward with the electrical materials, site light materials, and the contract with Kinetic (Windstream). This is do in large part to the lead time on some of the materials.
The School Board considered the following items:
- East lot electrical rough-in and site lighting installation ($52,105.00 - Spark Electric)
- Site lighting material procurement ($39,513.87 - Echo Electric)
- Windstream/Kinetic copper line relocation ($28,400.64)
The School Board moved to approve the direct contract items as recommended by Boyd Jones and Superintendent Eldridge.

DOCUMENT AUTHORIZATION
The school board moved to authorize the Superintendent the ability to sign all project related documents that are within the scope of the project.
